"Parking clouds the minds of reasonable people. Analytic faculties seem to shift to a lower level when one thinks about parking" (Donald Shoup)
Everyone has an opinion about parking. Eavesdrop on almost any conversation in a local shopping strip or cafe and there will inevitably be some complaint about parking.

This usually takes the form of "I had such a hard time finding a park this morning", followed by furious nodding and vocal agreement from their friends. If others overhears them they may also get involved, and might lob in a "bloody council" rant for good measure.

Parking is something that has an incredible ability to stop people's brains from working. No matter how small the issue, I can almost guarantee something ridiculous or extreme has been said or done somewhere in the world.

This is where this website comes in.

Inspired by the brilliant Angry People in Local Newspapers, this aims to collect examples of people losing their minds over parking issues.

We're not trying to find examples of bad urban planning (others have this pretty well-covered), although this might be a future project.
